university of the underground artist incubator programme

Took part in an intensive 2 month Artist Development programme as part of the UOTU Artist Incubator

The University of the Underground lives in the underground within a hidden network of urban spaces. Who support the non-established, non-linear, and unconventional practices. In the University of the Underground, countercultures are celebrated as they manufacture radios, pirate utopias and experiences for power shifts.

Over the 2 months I was given lectures in a wide range of areas relating to the music industry and took part in 1 to 1 tutorials from a wide range of artists to help develop my work through feedback.

As part of the programme I was tasked in making a 5 song EP which could be transcribed and printed into a song book. In addition, afterwards I had to perform my work in a gig at EarTH Hackney. This EP would form the demos for Ambergris.

Getting to work with so many talented artists was a great experience and it is a pleasure to be part of the UOTU alumni community.

Coming up with, Producing, then Recording, then transcribing, then Performing the EP in only 2 months was a challenge.

But it was worth it.
